My Artwork

In order to help me visualize and understand my characters, I like to draw them both in and out of character. Most of the pictures below are out-of-character glamor shots. It's just something I do.

As you can tell, my art style is Anime-influenced. My brother (an artist himself) got me into Japanese Animation back in the late 90s, and I guess I've been a fan since. It's basically the only style I ever really learned well enough not to be embarrassed by.

Inventing Vazquez Characters, Earlier Starlets, and a Nuclear Girlfriend

Liliana Vazquez - Inventing Vazquez Glamor pic. Is she mousy enough for you?

Lupe Nanca - Natalia's partner in crime, a cheery, fun-loving Chicana with a thing for green.

Fabiola Navarrez - A character for the possible Solstice prequel. A Mexico City police officer.
Nuclear Beastie - An anime rendition of my girlfriend. She demands a new pic every year. This was year two.
Natalia Salazar - My first original character from my first unofficial novel. I hope to bring her back someday.
Nuclear Beastie - Year three pic of my girlfriend. She was working in a coffee house at the time, so... And yes, she has three cats.
